Celebrating Reece's 1st (Chinese) Birthday

For Reece's 1st birthday in the Chinese Lunar calendar, we did a little celebration just like what we did for Riley three years ago.


Offerings at the altar. It's very interesting - every single item there has a significance to it. Each item represents something we wish for the birthday boy. I did the red eggs and bought the cupcakes. This time, my red eggs are nicer than the ones I made for Riley - that's because I used traditional red dye from the Chinese medical hall instead of food dye.
